Second set of questions to Jo. [May. 16th, 2005|03:24 am]
Ask JKR a Question

This is more like the second and third, really. I posted twice more at the Leaky Lounge since my first batch of questions, and am glad to see that there are some really good ones coming from others... but, as always, there are still a whole lot of stupid ones, sigh.

Second and Third batch of questions to JoCollapse )

I feel more like a bloody journalist trying to argue my reason to ask the questions and eventually getting to them, sigh. Always trying to prove the point, I suppose.

--- Oh yeah, I was thinking. How does everyone feel about me taking all your questions and compiling them together to be posted at the Leaky Lounge around Wednesday? Is that alright?

Questions for JKR [May. 15th, 2005|08:32 pm]
Ask JKR a Question

[music |Cry Little Sister]

1. Only a few wizards have registered as Animagi in the last century (seven, I believe), and others are running around unregistered. Who are the registered Anigmagi?

2. I read on Jo's site that originally it was a Muggle who was to give away the Potters' location, but she gave that job to Peter instead. What, if anything, was Peter's originally planned role in the series, and if a Muggle was to give away the location, how could they have done it (without having a Fidelius Charm placed upon them?)

Questions for Jo [May. 15th, 2005|04:24 pm]
Ask JKR a Question

[mood |anxious]

What a cool community! Thanks for doing this, Red.

Snape Questions for Jo:
Q: What kind of wand does Professor Snape have?
Q: When did Professor Snape become a spy for Dumbledore?
Q: Was the event that turned Professor Snape to the Order closely linked with a specific event, say, the Potter murders in 1981 or the Prewett murders before that?
Q: What is the significance of the capitalisation of Potions Master in The Chamber of Secrets (i.e. the scene with Lockhart and the other professors standing around Mrs. Norris)? Does it imply some additional training other than the potions cirriculum that he studied while at Hogwarts?
Q: Will Professor Snape ever give points to Gryffindor? I think it more likely that he will give them to Hermione, but never to Harry.

Ask JKR a Question

First, I want to thank you for creating this community-- it's a wonderful idea and I'm sure everyone is incredibly grateful! And congratulations to Melissa and Emerson for getting to interview JKR! :)

My biggest questions (all about Remus Lupin, because I love him! *g*) are these:

1. What did Remus Lupin do during his "lost years"?

2. Will Remus Lupin ever adopt a more prominent role in Harry's life, perhaps as a parent or brother figure?

3. Will we ever find out more information about Remus Lupin's history, i.e. past romantic relationships and/or family ties?

I'm sure I'll think of many more in the meantime, but I promise I'll only post them if I think other people are also dying to know. :)

Ask JKR a Question

If I could I'd ask her if HBP will end all the shipping debates and will we finally know who Hermione's in love with? I know it's probably beeen asked a thousand times but everyone wants to know.

Welcome! [May. 14th, 2005|04:35 am]
Ask JKR a Question

[mood |accomplished]
[music |CCR - 'Bad Moon Rising']

Hi everyone, and welcome to askjoaquestion. I reckon with a name like that, the basis of this community is rather self-explanatory, no? All the information as to why this comm was created can be found on the infopage, detailing where the idea came from, and how to go about asking questions and having discussions.

-- Please do not spam here, this is not the community to do that. No memes or quizzes will be allowed, and if you post one, you will be banned, more than likely. Posts should stay on-topic, that being of questions you'd like for Jo Rowling to answer and your reasoning as to why you'd like that particular question answered.

-- This is a place for civil discussions, so any sort of fighting or negative comments towards other members will get you banned. I don't really recommend you discuss the books, unless you have a specific question you'd like to ask Jo about it. There are MANY communities dedicated to discussing the books, so please, if you want to talk about the books, go there.

Um, can't think of anything right now. If you have any questions, requests, ideas, complaints, or just want to bug me, go right ahead here with a comment to this post and I'll answer you as soon as I can. I just want us to have fun here and hopefully get a lot of good questions going.

I can't wait for July 16th, can you? I didn't think so. ;)

-- reddiej, or Red, if you prefer.
